They will begin each round with an allotment of strokes (for Sand Valley, 72 + their Course Handicap; for Mammoth Dunes, 73 + their Course Handicap) and will play until their strokes run out, at which point they will plant their flag next to their ball before completing their round. The competitor whose flag is farthest along on each course is the winner (1 winner on Sand Valley, 1 winner on Mammoth Dunes). The 2 winners will each receive $1,000 pro shop credit plus free entry into next year's Flag Competition event

  • Ties: Should anyone complete all 18 holes with strokes remaining, they will return to the #1 tee and continue until their strokes are used, at which point they will plant their flag next to their ball.

  • Tees: Men may compete from the Sand, Orange, or Black tees; Women may compete from the Green, Sand, or Orange tees. Juniors 15 and under, and players age 65+ may move up one additional set of tees. Course Handicaps will be adjusted based upon the tees chosen.
