Getaway to Crenshaw's Cabin
Ben Crenshaw is a beloved figure throughout the game of golf. “Gentle Ben,” as he’s known, was one of the great pros of his era, and has since become one of the sport’s great golf designers, working with partner Bill Coore to create many of the best in the world, including Cabot Cliffs and Sand Valley’s first course, which opened to significant acclaim. A keen observer of the game and its history, Crenshaw has long recognized the merits of a great golf course—“A good golf course makes you want to play so badly that you hardly have the time to change your shoes,” he once said.
Which is maybe why Crenshaw’s Cabin, the latest lodging option at Sand Valley, bears his name. Overlooking the final hole at Sand Valley, the Cabin feels directly connected to the course. With amazing views of the 18th hole, as well as the 17th, a magnificent par-3 punchbowl, the Crenshaw Cabin is ideal for a secluded couples trip. Its sprawling screened-in porch provides a perfect location to sip coffee in the morning sun, or share a glass of wine in the evening.
For those lucky enough to stay, a king bed, a bathroom with two separate vanity sinks, a large soaking tub, and a luxurious outdoor shower open to the sky are among the amenities.
Just as Crenshaw was always a fan favorite—Crenshaw’s Cabin is sure to be one of the key options for people visiting Sand Valley.
