What is the deposit policy?

For general reservations (lodging and golf), the deposit amount is based upon the first night's room rate plus tax for each room reserved, and the first greens fee plus tax for each person.

For golf only reservations, the deposit amount is calculated based on the total green fees plus tax per person per day.

For group reservations (16 or more), the deposit payment and due dates are detailed in the group contract. Contact your group coordinator for questions or concerns.


What is the cancellation/reduction policy?

For golf and lodging reservations, we require all cancellations to be made a minimum of 30 days prior to the arrival date. Any cancellations or reductions made inside 30 days will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.

A 7-day cancellation period will be applied during the following time periods:

  • Between the start of the season and April 30th

  • Between October 6th and the end of the season

  • Any cancellations/reductions made inside 7 days during the time periods listed above will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.

For group reservations, we require all room and golf cancellations to be made a minimum of 90 days prior to the arrival date. Any cancellations or reductions made within 90 days will result in forfeiture of the full deposit. Please refer to your contract. If you have any questions or need to make any changes, please contact your group coordinator.


What are the additional guest occupancy fees?

  • All king-sized beds assume two guests per bed.

  • All queen-sized beds assume one person per bed.

  • All four-bed cottages assume up to eight guests per cottage.

There is an added charge of $20 plus tax per additional occupant.

Sand Valley currently does not offer rollaways beds.


What is the rain check policy?

Should you choose not to play your round of golf due to inclement weather, you will need to contact the golf shop directly while on property. You will be charged for and issued a voucher that is redeemable for future golf. Once you tee off, you have committed to the round of golf and are not eligible for a voucher.

Any Replay and Sandbox (par 3) rounds may be cancelled at any time without penalty.


What is the required pace of play?

  • All rounds prior to 8 a.m. are considered speed slot rounds and are expected to be played in under 4 hours.

  • Rounds after 8 a.m. are expected to be played in 4 hours and 15 minutes or less.

  • Average pace of play on the Sandbox is 2 hours.


Where can I warm-up?

Sand Valley Golf Range: Sunrise to an hour before dusk. (Closes at 5:00 pm every Thursday.)

  • Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time as the warm-up areas are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • Putting Greens and Stretching Areas (new!) are located at both Sand Valley and Mammoth Dunes, adjacent to the first tee of each course.  

  • Shuttle Service will be available to guests to and from other courses. 


Does Sand Valley have rental clubs?

We have club rentals available for $60 per day which come with two complimentary sleeves of golf balls. Advance reservations are recommended.

Are medical carts available?

Sand Valley has ADA carts available to those who have an extenuating medical condition. Please contact Reservations to inquire about a cart application.


Can I use a pull cart?

We have pull/push carts available to rent for $10/day or you may bring your own. The sand and lack of paths can be difficult on motorized pull carts.


How can I ship my clubs to Sand Valley?

Getting your golf clubs to and from Sand Valley is easier than it’s ever been, allowing you to enjoy a hassle-free travel experience. Should you need to ship your clubs or luggage, we recommend using SHIP STICKS.


What is the pet policy?

Sand Valley is a pet-friendly resort and we’d be happy to accommodate your pet. Additional fees apply. Please contact reservations to reserve a pet-friendly room or cottage.


When is check in and check out?

Check in is at 4 p.m. and check out is at 11 a.m. An additional fee applies for late check outs.


Are there shuttle services while on property?

During your stay, there is no need to drive your car. Our team of shuttle drivers can take you from the Clubhouse, Golf Shop, and all lodging units to and from the first tee of Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes, The Sandbox, or your car. 

Shuttle service is available 24 hours per day and all guest rooms have an in-room telephone with a "Shuttle" speed dial button.


When can I book dining reservations?

Booking dining reservations prior to your visit is highly recommended due to high volumes in our restaurants.

  • Dining reservations are available to resort guests within 45 days of their arrival date.

  • Dining reservations are available to day guests within 24 hours of their arrival date.

How can I purchase a gift card?
